Dice HQ

Meet Anni Haugan, Designer

Words by DICE

Graphic design whizz, animator extraordinaire, podcast aficionado, guardian of the office coffee pot – there are just too many ways we could describe the wonderful Anni, so we let her do the talking instead. Find out about Anni’s life on the Creative team and why she has Big Bird and Elmo to thank for her love of live shows

What did you do before DICE?

I’d just graduated from uni, and I didn’t really know what I wanted to do other than learning as much as I could on the job and doing a variety of different things. That’s pretty much what I do now. I’ve been at DICE for a little over three years, and I’ve worked on almost every type of project, from onboarding in-app to editorial design systems and global brand partnerships deals.

What’s the best thing about working here?

The people. We’re such an international bunch.

What project are you most proud of?

About a year after I started, we rebranded. It was a massive team effort and everyone brought something to the table. We even got shortlisted for a D&AD award, one of the most prestigious creative awards in the world.

What was your first gig, last gig and favourite gig?

My first gig was a Sesame Street gig (I was a pretty cool kid). The last gig I went to was Georgia at Heaven. My favourite gig, however, was Christine and the Queens at MOTH Club – it was an incredibly small crowd. I would have never known about it if it weren’t for DICE.

are.na – think Pinterest but make it user-friendly. I use it as a collaboration tool and to find designs that inspire me.
